Host
Families
The Carolina Chaos
is in need host families for the 2010 season.
Host families play a crucial role in summer collegiate baseball, as many
of the players of the Carolina Chaos are not from the
Central-Clemson area.
As NCAA student athletes, Carolina Chaos players are not allowed to
accept pay for playing in a summer league. As a result, summer
collegiate baseball leagues have traditionally relied on local families
to house their players.
Host families are only obligated to provide a spare bedroom and access
to a bathroom and laundry facilities. Each player is responsible for
their own food and transportation, although the host family may include
the player in family meals and activities.
Hosting a Carolina Chaos players can be a rewarding experience for the
host family. Carolina Chaos players are excellent role models for young
children and teenagers, and are great company for the entire household.
Often players and host families share a friendship that lasts well
beyond the end of the season.
The Carolina Chaos will host a welcome dinner for the host families and
the players prior to the season and recognize host families during each
of the Carolina
Chaos home games.
